2.5" Wide, Hand Carved, Classic Style, Leather Guitar Strap, Fits 48" to 54"


2.5" wide, classic style, leather guitar strap; hand carved in Sheridan Style, Chan Geer, western floral pattern #2"-8A scaled up to fit; with tan antique finish; length adjustable from 48" to 54". This strap is constructed from 10 - 11 oz. Hermann Oak, vegetable tanned cowhide from the St Louis, Missouri tannery. The 1" wide connector straps, also 10 - 11 oz. Hermann Oak, are punched with 3/8" round holes for Schaller, Dunlop or similar strap locks. This is a heavy, very comfortable strap requiring no backside lining. All edges are burnished smooth to a complimentary dark tan color.

The 1" connector straps are mounted to the main strap body separately with screw back conchos, so can easily be changed out when they become worn without need to replace the main strap body which, with heavy use will last many years. Two conchos are used for each end attachment strap providing redundancy for your axes' safety. The conchos and brass buckle can easily be swapped for a different style.

The brass buckle connector is permanently attached to the main strap body with two old school, #9 copper rivets, but the adjuster strap fitting into the buckle is easily replaced if worn. I personally prefer the buckle end of the strap attach to the bottom of the guitar body, but this strap is designed to be worn either way per your preference. Two 3/8" strap lock holes are provided at each connector end primarily so that as one wears, the other can be used to extend the useful life of the connector strap; but this configuration also provides 1" adjustment at each end of the strap to accommodate different guitar shapes.

You'll notice the 1" connector straps thread through two slots at the top and bottom of the main strap body so the main body and 1" connectors move together as one. This strap is built to use and is appropriately suited for any expensive or custom made guitar. The strap is lightly sealed using an Eco-friendly, water based sealer and hand rubbed with OBENAUF's Heavy Duty LP leather preservative (my personal favorite), which both protects the strap and gives it a rich, buttery soft patina.
