2.5" Wide, Hand Carved Leather Guitar Strap

2.5" wide, classic style, leather guitar strap, hand carved with western floral pattern in antique Briar Brown over Black, with two old school copper rivets, four 3/4" Texas Star conchos and 1.25" wide, brass buckle. This heavy strap is custom made for a truck driving musician in central Wisconsin, sporting his initials on the back and a vector truck image on the front. It is sized to 48" in length and adjusts from 46" to 50".

The floral carving pattern is a Grit West original with native Arizona tree leaves found above 8,500 feet elevation (near Flagstaff, AZ.) and wild desert rose.

This strap (all three pieces and 3/4" wide keeper) is cut from a 10-11 oz. single side of Hermann Oak vegetable tanned leather and is 2.5" wide with 1.25" wide connector straps. Front and back hand tooled connector straps are punched with 3/8" diameter holes to accommodate Dunlop or Schaller style strap locks. The heavy 10-11 oz. leather has been pre-compressed to a thickness fitting the strap lock system. All edges are nicely beveled and burnished smooth. The 1.25" wide connector straps are hand-tooled in a nice border pattern and are dyed in Briar Brown Antique.

My classic style straps come with attached 1.25" wide connector straps, so when worn, they can easily and inexpensively be replaced without touching the main 2.5" strap body, which will last a lifetime with heavy use. This style strap is quite heavy, very comfortable to wear and doesn't require an interior lining or stitching.

All dyes and finishes are environmentally friendly water based products.

All my guitar straps are one-off, made-to-order items. Let me know what you'd like and what your budget allows and we'll see what we can come up with. My least costly straps run about $180 each; will be just as stout; simply with less tooling; maybe plain or with a simple border pattern and a solid color. I will make up any width, color, length in any design you'd like.
