A Pair of Hand-Tooled, 1.75" Wide, Heavy Leather Service Belts


This pair of size 37" service belts were made to order as 1.75" wide, heavy, leather belts for work or casual wear. The straps were cut from a heavy (10 -11 oz.) Hermann Oak, vegetable tanned, Single Side and are sturdy enough to carry a light duty holster or knife sheath, but not intended as heavy gun leather. These belts have no tapers, are a generous 1.75" wide full length through a 7-hole billet end with 2" wide, clipped-corner, antique finish, brass buckles. These particular belts were ordered with extra 3/4" wide keepers, so have some additional length. All four 3/4" hand-tooled keepers are hand tooled and sewn, not stapled.

The belts are finished in medium brown antique and black with slightly different traditional basket-weave, hand tooled patterns. Billet and buckle ends carry slightly different decorative tooled, border patterns. Buckles are secured with plain black, screw back conchos and can easily be changed out for different buckles and look. Edges are burnished smooth in dark brown and black respectively using gum tragacanth. Finishes are hand rubbed using Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP leather preservative.

I can make a belt like these for you in any size, any color, tapered or un-tapered. These belts are not department store grade; but are serious slabs of made-to-order veg tanned leather; in this case for a former British SAS lad.

Dyes and finish are water based, environmentally friendly materials.

GRIT COMPANY does not have unsatisfied customers. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase of a GRIT COMPANY product, return it undamaged within 15 calendar days and your purchase price will be refunded in full including standard service return shipping.
